unique in that it has the
potential to be used as a
powerful tool for Christian
teaching and evangelism. In
fact, God is already using
the martial arts in a
widespread teaching and
evangelical ministry to glorify
Him and bring young people
to know and love
Christ(Romans 8:28).
Although it is beneficial to
understand the history of the
martial arts, it is important
not to let it limit the potential
of the martial arts today.
History's very purpose is to
prevent future generations
from repeating the blunders
of the past.

those who love God and are
called according to his

The Martial Arts, as a
whole, is highly
misunderstood in
western society,
especially among the
Christian community. It
is often associated with
mysticism, violence
and warfare, as well as
Eastern cultures,
religions, and
philosophies.  It is true
that the martial arts
was invented and
developed in the Far
East, and therefore,
took on by association
the culture, religion
and philosophy of its
many teachers and
students. However, the
martial arts is not
cultural, not religious,
and not philosophical
in and of itself; it
reflects the values and
principles of its
teachers, which can be
Christian or any
"God created us all with our own individual
talents, we are, all unique, in charm, and grace.
The study of Karate will explore that universe
inside of us and reveal all our strength and
weaknesses. Once we are aware of who we are,
the journey for self improvement begins, slowly
eliminating our weaknesses and developing our
strengths"
